Moose's Girls
Bonnie, Joy & Moxie
CH. Vogue's
Woebgon
Bonnie Miss
"Bonnie" is our first
basset out of Moose.
Thanks to the forsight
of our good friend,
Heather Simonek, who
bred Moose to one of
her females (Mandy's
sister), we were able to
get Bonnie. She is a
superior female with
excellent qualities. In
2004, with Don
showing her in
Southern California,
Bonnie was the
number thirteen basset
hound for the year. On
July 2, 2006 she
produced her litter of
five.
CH. Woebgon's
Kickapoo Joy Juice
"Joy" is our first "home
bred" AKC Champion.
She and her sister
"Moxie" (see below) were
the only survivors in a
litter of five. Both girls
are out of Moose and
Mandy. Joy reminds us a
lot of Buddy. Her first
point came ten years to
the day after the same
judge awarded us our
very first point in a show
on Buddy. Joy won a five
point major under
breeder/judge Barbara
Langlois the Inland
Empire Hound Club of
So. Cal. Show and
another one at the
Kennel Club of Palm
Springs the next day and
Joy finished at her next
show. At the Ventura KC
show in January of 2005
where Don finished Joy
from the Bred by
Exhibitor class, they had
a BBEX competition. Joy
went Group 1 in the
hound group (pictured).
What a way to finish the
first Champion from our
breeding! In 2008 Joy
had a fantastic year. She
was the number one
female basset that was
shown in the ring by the
breeder. At the 2009
Westminster Kennel Club
Show Joy fulfilled a
lifelong dream of our
co-breeder, Heather
when she was selected
as Best of Opposite Sex.
More recently she
blessed us with a litter of
eight beautiful, healthy
puppies.
CH. Woebgon's
Moxie Original
"Moxie" is Joy's
littermate. Pam and
Heather worked
together to finish her
AKC Championship.
Both of them put points
on her and she was the
first basset that Pam
put points on. She
finished at the Kennel
Club of Palm Springs
show with a five point
major (pictured). Moxie
produced a litter of nine
on August 29, 2006.
