On the plane ride home to California Heather told Don how important this win was for her. Heather explained that ever since she started jumping horses she dreamed of winning at Madison Square Garden. While she never won with one of her horses Heather said that this win with Joy fulfilled that dream.
Since the Westminster win Joy had two litters, earned her Grand Championship, was declared a BHCA Top Producing Basset Hound Bitch for 2011 and achieved Register of Merit status from the Basset Hound Club of America, Inc.
Joy truly lived up to her name.
